This spring, the verdict is in: don’t discard your floral fancies just yet! Instead, welcome the revisiting houseguest with open arms and pile it on like the fashion diva you are.
On the runways, Thakoon and Prabal Gurung showcased the print in new, modern ways, while DVF and A.Wang injected their collections with bits of floral funk. Despite the differences in designer aesthetic, our childhood favorite has taken a turn for the “badass,” as flowy silhouettes take an evening leap, and frilly prints bleed onto the pantalones scene.
With that said, we have a couple suggestions on how to take the trend onto the streets this spring break. Rid the polish with tough basics: leather jackets, denim pieces, and un-tucked tees or button ups. Or pair it with neutral (or colorful, for the brave!) accessories that put your floral piece at the center of attention. Whatever the case, one rule applies: mix and match. And be sure to add an understated bauble that brings it all together. Luckily for you, Courtney Kaye has got that covered. :)
