Turkey Treat: Pumpkin Pie Milkshake

In lieu of Thanksgiving, I thought that we could mix things up a bit and offer a quick, simple recipe. We were going to take a Turkey break all together! However, thanks to A Cozy Kitchen, we found this delicious number to be worth sharing.

So drop the beer, and set down the wine, ladies and gents. This time of year calls for milkshakes-- of the pumpkin pie variety! 

Pumpkin Pie Milkshake:
5-6 scoops pumpkin ice cream (or vanilla), slightly softened
1/2 cup whole milk
1/8 to 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/16 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4-5 pieces of pumpkin pie crust scraps, baked and cooled
Add all the ingredients into your blender and pulse for 15-20 seconds.  
Divide between two glasses and top with pumpkin pie crust crumbles and whipped cream! 

Pretty sweet, right? Have a happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
