DIY: Knob ‘em Dead

/ Friday, November 18, 2011 /

We recently found this great idea for a jewelry display that uses a piece of beach wood (any plank will do) to organize those tousled chains! Simply find a piece of wood, distress, paint or varnish it (depending on décor preference), and screw in hooks! Pretty easy, huh?! But if you want to spruce things up, this next part is right up your alley. All you need is a creative mind and a love for adorable knobs!
  1. Search for some decorative drawer knobs—you can find these at Anthropologie, or, for a cheaper alternative, any antique or thrift store. From glass and metal to porcelain, the possibilities are endless!
  2. Drill in a couple, evenly spaced holes—make sure they’re staggered so that your chains don’t bump links.
  3. Last, screw in your charming collection of knobs.  TIP: Mix and match to reflect your own personal taste!
Here are a couple of our personal faves:

Which one's your favorite? Happy Friday! :)
